Housing Information
The military provides two options for the use of your Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH)
The first option is living on post. Your second option is using your BAH to rent or buy a home off post. We provide you with military friendly information to help you maximize your BAH.

• The Housing Management Office (318) 456-4791 can answer all of your on- or off-base housing questions. They also provide services such as: counseling and guidance before entering into a lease agreement, housing referrals as well as resolving tenant-landlord disputes.

Barksdale AFB On Base Housing

• The Unaccompanied Housing Office (318) 456-2779 is reserved for airmen in the ranks of E1-E3 and E4 with less than 3 years of service. You are provided with private sleeping room, furnishings, bed linens and supplies required for comfortable living.

•  Barksdale AFB on post housing is privatized and managed by Barksdale Hunt Military Communities  (888) 697-0422. Units include both single family and duplexes which offer lawn care, central air and heat, a pool and playgrounds in the 4 distinct neighborhoods of Heritage Heights, Liberty Heights, Main Base, and Officer housing. If the appropriate size or requested amenities are not available, applicants can be placed on a waiting list.
